Weatherize and Save

Liberty offers a variety of energy efficiency programs and measures designed to help our residential and commercial customers to save energy and money.

Residents who qualify for energy-assistance funds may be eligible to receive energy education and weatherization assistance. This program can help reduce utility bills.

Weatherizing your home can save you up to 30 percent on home heating costs and make your home more comfortable. The quickest and lowest cost home-improvement projects, such as weather-stripping doors and windows, and caulking exterior cracks, can realize the greatest energy savings.

Low-Income Assistance

Low-Income Weatherization Assistance

Our Iowa customers with an income at or below 150 percent of the federal poverty level — especially the elderly, the physically disadvantaged, and families with children — may be eligible for home-weatherization assistance.
